1. The punctuation/quotation marks thing can depend on whether the punctuation is part of the quoted phrase or the surrounding sentence...got a nice little book at work that helps me sort that stuff out so I can look smart when I send e-mail to management.

3) Sick of Thanksgiving leftovers already. Well, what' s left...turkey. Thought of turkey is sickening.

2. Got a surprise check for ComEd for $35.47. Thery' re usually good for TAKING money, not giving it away.
3. Back hurts. Back (play on words) to the pain clinic on Monday.
4. Listening to Motown. Talk about timeless classics, Motown of the 60s and early 70s is just as awesome now as it was 30-35 years ago.
5. Had my hair cut last night, for the first time, by an African-American chick. She did a great job. Of course, if I wanted to make her work for her tip I shoulda asked her for an ' Allen Iverson.' (lol)
