1. One of my friends died last night - I just found out today.
2. His name was ' Big Jim' Lizewski and unfortunately he was big, TOO big (over 300 lbs)
3. He was shoveling snow from his driveway and had a massive heart attack. He was also a 2 pack-a-day smoker.
4. He had NO BUSINESS shoveling snow in his poor condition. His father died THE SAME WAY, shoveling snow for cripesake (in 1979).
5. He was only 59 years old and lived with his mother who is still alive and must be absolutely devastated - haven' t talked to her yet; a friend phoned me this afternoon.

RIP Jimmer. You will be missed.

Fantasy league playoffs start next week. This is the last game of the regular season.

No matter what happens, Kid is a lock for the second seed in the playoffs. Last year, Kid snuck in with the wildcard bid and almost won it all.

More than likely, Kid will be playing the number one seed in the Superbowl. Two straight Superbowls; quite an accomplishment in itself. Then again, the Bills went to four straight, and lost three. Scott Norwood sold them out in the first one.

Go with Jake Plummer or a injured, erratic Steve McNair? Why couldn' t Kid have just pulled Vick in the draft?

Running game is good, with Hearst finally getting all the carries for The Niners with Kevan " fumble" Barlow injured, and Charlie Garner doing his thing with Oakland. Kid ain' t kidding; he even cut Barlow from his team on Madden 2003 after acquiring Warrick Dunn and resigning Roger Craig. Too bad Rice retired; Kid would have signed him too.

Jose Cortez got released for some reason. Two weeks ago. Would have been nice to know sooner, might not have lost so badly last week. Picked up Jeff Reed of the Steelers off the waiver line. He seems to have his shit straight, kicks straight too.

Defense, can' t be stopped. Number one defense in the league, Tampa Bay. They have carried this rag tag bunch of vagabonds on their broad shoulders and carried them to an abyssmal, yet division and at one, point league leading record of 7-2, securing the Central Division title and home field advantage for the semi-finals.
