Donald Trump

Your demands for recounts keep confirming the other guy got more votes.

Your baseless lawsuits keep getting rejected by the courts.

The lackey you appointed as Attorney General concedes to reality and admits that there's no evidence of the massive vote fraud you keep alleging.

The governors and/or legislatures of key states refuse your suggestions that they ignore the voters and declare you the winner.

The officials in Georgia* ignore your open solicitation for vote fraud.
(*And possibly other states where the tapes haven't been released.)

Only a handful of Senators prove sycophantic enough to try to derail your opponent's win at the certification stage.

Your Veep brushes off your demented claim that he can somehow single-handedly undo the election results.

What's a narcistic authoritarian to do?

Encourage your more militant followers to storm the Capitol and attempt a coup, that's what.

And with his last futile effort at undermining democracy, Trump makes a Bob Beamon-esque leap past Warren Harding and James Buchanan to claim the "worst president ever" spot.

Rudi Giuliani

Apparently adopting the conspiracy theory that all those people running amok in the Capitol with MAGA hats and Trump banners were Antifa in disguise, Giuliani declared, "Trump people were not scaling the wall."

Presumably, his next step will be explaining that he did not encourage the riot by telling Trump supporters "Let's have trial by combat" -- that was really Rich Little, who had been hired by George Soros.

Rush Limbaugh

The talk radio host -- demonstrating that his cancerous lungs may be the least malignant thing about him -- took a unique approach to the storming of the Capitol: denouncing the people calling for an end to violence.

Miya Ponsetto

Ponsetto, aka 'the SoHo Karen," was videotaped in December falsely accusing a black teenager of stealing her phone (which she had actually left in her Uber ride), then lunging at him and forcing him to the ground.

She was arrested Thursday and charged with attempted robbery, attempted grand larceny, attempted assault, and acting in a manner injurious to a minor.  Since she refused to get out of her car and had to be dragged out by police, she may also get charged with resisting arrest.

Meanwhile, she gave an utterly clueless interview to Gayle King, whining, "I'm a 22-year-old girl. How is one girl accusing a guy about a phone a crime?"

The kid's father, jazz trumpeter Keyon Harrold, responded, 'We are not interested in what she has to say, in her feigning remorse, and we certainly will not provide her a public platform and audience to do as much.'

Red State

The conservative website decided to go beyond the "All those rioters were Antifa dressed up like Trump supporters" conspiracy theory and published an article declaring, "There was no riot in DC. There was no insurrection. There was no ‘storming’ of the Capitol Building."

Apparently, this was too much even for veteran reality denialists and the article was retracted a day later.

A scene from the riot that never happened:

Susan Collins

In an utterly bizarre op-ed, the Senator (R-Maine) claims that when the Capitol was stormed by a mob composed overwhelmingly of white people with MAGA hats and Trump banners -- on a day when Trump had called for a 'wild' protest -- 'My first thought was that the Iranians had followed through on their threat to strike the Capitol.'

Maybe she should get the prescription for her glasses updated.

Azealia Banks

The rapper posted to Instagram a video of her apparently digging up her dead cat (named Lucifer), boiling it, and using the skull as the centerpiece of an altar.

She has since declared critics of her actions racist: "this is very un-black lives matter of you all."

Remember December 31 and thinking, "At least next year can't be as weird as this one"?  Ah, the good old days....

Kyle Rittenhouse

The Kenosha shooter decided to celebrate being out on bail for killing two people at a Black Lives Matter rally by going to a bar, hanging out with members of the Proud Boys as they serenaded him, and flashing a white supremacy gesture.

Ted Cruz

Unsurprisingly, the Senator (R-TX) decided to start kvetching about Joe Biden on his first day as President. (As an aside, what happened to those calls from the right for unity?  Oh yeah, they only apply to dropping the impeachment charges against Trump.)

Also not surprisingly, one of his targets was Biden's decision to acknowledge the reality of climate change and rejoin the Paris Agreement.

Still not surprisingly, his complaint was a lazy retread of Trump's comments upon his withdrawal, as he Tweeted that Biden is more interested 'in the views of the citizens of Paris than in the jobs of the citizens of Pittsburgh.'

An actual surprise: That Cruz didn't take a few minutes to consider that maybe he should substitute another city for Pittsburgh, given his recent efforts to disenfranchise its citizens (along with those from the rest of Pennsylvania).

Marjorie Taylor Greene

The Representative (R-QAnon) decided to outdo Cruz and celebrated Biden's first day in office by filing articles of impeachment against him over his alleged abuse of power when Veep on behalf of son Hunter.

Apparently, she missed the part in 2020 where the Republican-controlled Senate held an investigation into the allegations and found (a) no evidence of wrongdoing by Joe Biden and (b) no evidence that Hunter Biden's work for Burisma affected US foreign policy.

Harris Faulkner

The Fox News host went on a rant that the cover of Time -- depicting Joe Biden amid a trashed Oval Office -- is 'not real,' adding 'Let’s see if others in the mainstream media have the gumption to call out the fact that that’s just a complete lie.'  Apparently Faulkner somehow managed to reach adulthood without ever stumbling across concepts like "metaphor" and "satire."

There's also the fact that the average Time reader might figure out on their own that the cover is not reality, given that it's blatantly a drawing.

Still to be determined:  Is he insane or is he taking cosplay as Marvel's Vision to the next level?

Jose Canseco

The former baseball player and poster boy for steroid use joined the celebrity boxing ranks, headlining Barstool Sports "Rough N Rowdy" pay-per-view event.  His opponent was an intern at Barstool Sports using the name Billy Football.  After twelve seconds of quality scrapping, Canseco went down and stayed down, later claiming to have reinjured his right shoulder, which he had torn months earlier.  Barstool Sports President Dave Portnoy is accusing Canseco of taking a dive.

Jose gets bonus annoying points for making me develop a smidge of respect for Jake Paul's boxing career.

Lindsey Graham

The Senator (R-Trump's Hip Pocket) has apparently realized that defending impeachment on the facts is doomed (and presumably figured he needed a better rationale for his inevitable 'Not Guilty' vote than 'I'm afraid of being primaried from even father to the right'), so he resorted to a Tu quoque argument, claiming that the storming of the Capitol was just like Black Lives Matter protesters holding demonstrations outside his house.  Granted, no one from BLM broke into Graham's house, ran amok, and killed a police officer, but otherwise the parallels are uncanny.

TJ Ducklo

Politico reported that assistant press secretary Ducklo was secretly in a relationship with Axios reporter Alexi McCammond.  Ducklo responded by calling Politco reporter Tara Palmeri and threatening 'I will destroy you' if the story ran.  He also said she was 'jealous' that somone 'wanted to fuck [McCammond] and not you.'
As a result of this charming behavior, Ducklo has been suspended without pay for one week -- which plenty of commentators have noted falls well short of President Biden's pledge to fire employees who disrespected others 'on the spot. No ifs, ands, or buts.'

Republican Senators Mitch McConnell (KY), Chuck Grassley (IA), Jim Inhofe (OK), Richard Shelby (AL), Mike Crapo (ID), Lindsay Graham (SC), Roy Blunt (MO), Jerry Moran (KS), Rob Portman (OH), John Thune (SD), and Roger Wicker (MS),who, judging from their votes in 1998 and last Friday, apparently consider receiving a blow job from an intern a greater threat to the Republic than encouraging a mob to attack the Capitol.

Bonus annoying points to McConnell and Portman for trying to have it both ways by voting to acquit Trump, then issuing statements denouncing his actions.  Hell, at least the OJ jurors didn't piously bleat about how appalled they were by his murders after letting him walk.

The Senator (R-WI) said that he would have been concerned for his safety if the Capitol had been attacked by antifa* or Black Lives Matters. During the actual attack, though, he 'never really felt threatened' because the protestors were largely 'people that love this country, that truly respect law enforcement, would never do anything to break a law.'
Apparently, he missed the part where these law-abiding patriots killed a Capitol Hill police officer.

*So, does this mean the far right has stopped pretending the rioters were antifa in disguise?  It's tough to tell which alternative reality they're pushing at a given moment without a scorecard.

Andrew Cuomo

Which of the following sounds like the better grounds for impeachment:
(a) pressuring the state department of health to undercount COVID-19 deaths at nursing homes to keep you from looking bad;
or
(b) being accused of sexual harassment by seven women?

Well, your answer doesn't really matter as the New York Governor has both covered.

Considering he got re-elected via voter suppression I am sure he is going to defend them
