Here is yet one more example of the kindness and wisdom of Bruce.

Read what he posted when I started a thread after one of my beloved dogs had died:

One of my fond memories of Bruce is his calling me out on this massive brain fart.

I convinced him to modify the Lindsey Kildow and Giuliana dePandi profiles to fall under their later names (Vonn and Rancic respectively).

When I first discovered the forum back in 2005, I actually lurked here for two months before getting up the nerve to submit a profile to the Do It Yourself forum (this was way before the module) because I was afraid of drawing the wrath of Bruce on myself for any mistakes I might have made  I soon learned though that the proverb "his bark is worse than his bite" fit Bruce perfectly.  He was one of the kindest, most thoughtful men I've ever known.  I particularly remember the support he gave me when my mother died in 2007.

There are so many positive things I could say about Bruce that I don't know where to start.  Perhaps the one that comes most to mind though was his tolerance and appreciation of the many very different personalities the site and forum have attracted over the years. On one thread we have religious rants, on another pin-ups, on yet another, poetry. Bruce even seemed to get a kick out of my doll forum.  And the range of profile subjects of course is equally huge.  This diversity and unpredictability of Am I Annoying is what has kept me around for nearly five years.

RIP, Bruce.  You went far too soon.

Man, it's so sad to hear that a co-founder of this website has died. I'm sorry for your loss, Marc. He was very helpful about what he did to the website.

RIP, Bruce.

My condolences to Keith, Marc and your family.

I'm not good at this sort of thing, so please bear with me....

Bruce was so wise. He was so witty. He had my back on more than one occasion, and his support when there was a nasty bruhaha over a forum name change was the reason I stuck around! His ability to forgive proved inspirational. His positive spirit and enthusiasm for life will be missed!

Bruce, may you rest in peace!

And yet it moves!

I am so very, very sorry. Have funeral arrangements been made and could you tell me his favorite charity so that I may make a contribution in his name? I'm from the South and down here when you make a point to call a man a gentleman you saying something and he was a gentleman. Please accept my condolences. Tom

Wow, this is really shocking! Who knew after nearly a decade after AIA and the Annoyatorium were started, one of its head honchos passes. God bless, Bruce and hope for the better.

His passing may have been sudden but I could tell reading what he wrote, which was always worth reading, that he possessed such a character that made the years he lived full. Man did he piss me off sometimes. But for all the right reasons, as there was never any doubt that he was a forceful character, a worthy debater and a kind soul... here's to him!

Random Bruce memory: his interjections in my chief justice profiles thread.

I was surprised to here he was over 50. I thought he was much younger. Perhaps it was his quoting of "PNEUMONIA" like Gwen Stefani that implanted this image in my head.

In heaven, everything is fine.

I'm shocked and saddened by this news. Bruce was always a fun, witty, and kind person. His posts were always interesting and/or funny. I'm so sorry Marc. The world is worse without him. May he rest in peace and know that he's always loved. You will be missed terribly, Bruce!

I submitted my first profiles via email instead of the DIY forum.  After the second batch, I got back a message from Bruce that boiled down to "Your choice of subjects is interesting, but learn to follow the format correctly, because I ain't going to edit these for you."  Guess neither his bite nor his bark was too bad, since I'm still going at 28 collections.

We'll miss you Bruce.

This thread should bring a smile to a few faces.

Bruce at his sharpest. And damn near everyone else weighed in on this action-packed, fun-filled, classic piece of Annoyatorium history (including Marc).

Now I don't know if he is sitting at the right hand of Orlando. I will have to ask him if Bruce lived a Christian life.

We had many instances to where he did back talk us a few times.

I don't really know what else to add, but I'll give a story. About a year after I stopped contributing I decided to e-mail him just to say what's up and such. He actually was thinking about me right before I e-mailed him. So there's another story about his generosity. Not to mention how he gave me another chance after I kinda screwed up in my earlier submissions.

Kinda funny how I came back right before this tragedy.

I noticed that he was working on filling in sexy/unsexy Germans, and there was one of interest to me that I was going to let him do. I think I'll do that as a tribute.

RIP Bruce
